Of all the beauty and wellness tools on the market, there’s few as simple and powerful as the dry brush. Its benefits are endless; it sweeps away dead skin cells, softens and smooths for a more even complexion and even helps with internal issues like lymphatic drainage and digestion. It also feels amazing on your skin and is a great way to detox your body from the inside out.
When To Dry Brush:
Because of its invigorating properties, it’s best to use your dry brush in the morning. This way it will charge you up at the start of the day, instead of energizing you when you’re trying to hit the sheets.
How To Dry Brush:
Our Coconut Body Oil and your dry brush are beauty BFFs! They go hand-in-hand to make sure your body is receiving all the benefits of both. You can use them together (our preferred method) or you can use the brush on its own and follow up with our Body Oil. We like to add a few spritzes of oil to the brush and then start brushing in an upwards motion, starting at your feet. It’s important to brush upwards (towards your heart) as this is best for blood circulation and lymphatic drainage throughout your body. Once you brush up your feet and legs, use more gentle movements on your stomach and chest as the skin is more sensitive in these areas!
Beauty Benefits:
Dry brushing with an oil causes your skin to look super smooth and moisturized from the outside and feel refreshed from the inside out. The stimulation of the skin targets your lymphatic system, the system responsible for transporting waste in the body, which keeps your body free of toxins, inflammation, and disease. On the exterior, dry brushing also helps with the appearance of cellulite as it softens fat deposits beneath the skin’s surface. Using the brush in conjunction with our Body Oil invigorates fresh skin with antioxidants, fatty acids, and vitamins to reveal an even-toned and smooth complexion.
