Party hopping in Miami, hanging with models, and soaking up sun in between runway shows—sounds almost too good to be true, right? At least we thought so, until last week when we attended our first-ever Miami Swim Week. As newcomers we were a little unsure of what to expect, although that didn’t last long. Blame it on the abundance of bikinis or the fact that it all went down just steps away from the sand, but it took about all of two seconds for us to feel right at home.
For anyone who’s yet to go, the weeklong event is best summed up as Fashion Week for swimwear. Editors, designers and buyers flock to sunny South Beach for a sneak peek at brand new bikinis designed by the best in the industry and modeled on the gleaming gams of big time bikini babes. Surrounded by so much sun, sand, and skin, it really came as no surprise when our Coconut Body Glow completely stole the show.
It was stashed in the VIP gift bags at the Indah and Tori Praver shows, and made an appearance at the Surfing Magazine Swimsuit Issue Party. Our Glow was even seen backstage at the Luli Fama and Frankies Bikinis Runway Shows, where our very own Kiana and Amanda were using it to get the models runway ready by swiping it along legs and dotting it on décolletages.
The best-selling product wasn’t only spotted on models working the runway—those taking beach breaks used it to intensify tans and add a golden shimmer to sun kissed skin. Even after the sun dipped down, models and attendees alike applied Coconut Body Glow to brow bones and cheekbones to impart an ethereal glow that was long lasting, even through the balmy Miami nights. Aussie babe Natalie Roser got up close and personal with it during our fun photoshoot in South Beach Miami. It was also great running into Tash Oakley and Devin Brugman of A Bikini A Day after our recent interview on their blog.
Suffice to say, our Coconut Body Glow and Miami Swim Week were a match made in heaven. Those of us at Kopari HQ have loved this product for a long time now, and we couldn’t have been happier that everyone at Swim Week fell in love with it too.
